Creating a Line Segment Between Two Panels

I'm working on some display panels in an existing simulation. I have multiple display panels (of type viz.Panel and viz.Info). I'd like to create a line segment between the panels (they provide complementary information). Is there a way to do this, even when the viewpoint is moving?
