parallel port on laptop
Hi,
We want to use vizparallel to send pulses on a laptop parallel port connected with a pci express external card (viz 3.0, win7 64-bit, startech ec1pecps). I can't get it to recognize the address and was wondering if anyone has managed to get one to work? Best, Joe |

Make sure you have full administrator rights on that machine. Being logged in as admin is not always enough. You must also launch Vizard with "Run as admin" method and then run the target script using the parallel port. "Run as admin" done once should be enough and not then required on subsequent executions.
Running as admin should not be necessary for Vizard 4 |

Running as admin didn't seem to help. I haven't tried Vizard4.
If anyone is interested, I solved the problem (at least temporarily) but switching to 32bit win7 and using a wrapper around the free TVickPort. It looked possible for win7-64, but I couldn't get it to work. Best, Joe |
