The Arrington plug-in should work with both local and streamed data. Have you been able to capture the streamed data using Arringtons own test software?

Hi,
Yes, I can see the data from the eye on the remote laptop when view point client is connected using either: VPX_MFC_Demo VPX_win32_Demo VPX_simple_c all in the extraApps folder of viewpoint. I'm just using the vpx.getSmoothedGazePoint() command in my .py to try to pick up the streamed data, should I be using anything else whilst on a remote computer? and do I have to have a specific extraApps interface open for vizard to pick up the data? Thank you very much for getting back to me on this. Regards, J |

I've never used the remote interface for the Arrington EyeTracker, so I don't really know how it works. My understanding is that whether the data is local or remote is transparent to the application and it just uses the same API to access the data. You might want to contact Arrington for more information.
