Question Positional Tracking in Stereoscopic Panorama's in Oculus HMD

Hi folks,

Hopefully somebody can help with this. We are looking at viewing 360 stereo panoramas and i have been messing around with the sample panorama file.

What I was wondering is if it is possible to lock the panorama to the world and not the users head position. Using this currently feels strange when users move their head as if there is no positional tracking on the headset (which there is as it is an Oculus DK2).

Anyway I hope somebody understands what I mean and is able to help out,

Kind regards,

Séadna.

I'm not sure what you mean by locking the panorama to the world. Do you want to ignore position data being streamed from the Oculus?

In a 360 panorama the user is essentially inside a virtual ball textured on the inside. But when it is loaded it is as if there is no positional tracking or the ball's origin in locked to the position of the users head. I want the user to be able to crouch and stand and move around within this ball.
