Multiple Geodes?
Hello again Vizard Gurus.
I had a small question on pivot points coming out of 3D Studio Max. I am aware, thanks to your tutorial, of setting up a geode in max to create a single pivot point for an object. But in my case, I have an object that requires more than one 'pivot' point. Meaning, I am currently using the geode location as a point of reference for drawing curves from one node to another. Is it possible to have more than one? Or is it possible to add more points? Or perhaps there is a better work around that I am missing. I know I could have multiple pieces of geometry with Geodes, but is it possible to make an 'empty' set for additional geodes? For instance, if I need to 'lock' items to different points on a model, is there a better method than this? Thanks for your time, George L. |
Typically when we want to add in extra points to move or attach other things to, we add some boxes in max, move them so their pivot is in the desired location, and assign a fully transparent material to make them invisible.

Thanks Veleno,
I was hoping there would be a slightly more elegant solution, but if it works, I'll take it! ~George |
