View Full Version : more advanced network examples?

I've looked at the two brief examples included with Vizard, and I understand how they work for the most part. The comments say "no need for TCP", are they all NETBIOS named pipes or UDP datagrams or something?

From those examples, it appears that both machines on a connection will block until a successful datagram mailbox can be connected. Is there any provision for a network event without a mailbox, such as TCP's listen/accept mechanism, or a way to set up a mailbox that is just dormant when it can't connect?

If any Vizard users out there have bigger networking examples (three nodes or more) running, I'd be interested to hear about the results.
