XBOX360 USB controller intermittently working

I have a couple of USB xbox 360 controllers that I have been using successfully for some time. Recently, they've started to go bonkers. They will sometimes work and sometimes not work. This is true for scripts I've recently written, for scripts I've used before, for newly developed scripts *AND* "joystick demo.py".

The best I can tell is that they usually work with the first execution of a script by Vizard since the last time it was started.

I have also tried a brand new xbox360 controller and experienced the same problem.

I'm using Vizard 4.10 and Windows 7.

Any ideas? Help!

Try using the DirectInput (http://docs.worldviz.com/vizard/#Vizjoy_basics.htm) plug-in to connect to the devices if you are not already and see if the results are better.
