Help-- oculus and computer simulator

Hey guys it's my first post on here. I'm wondering how I can run both the oculus rift headset and te computer graphic simulator at the same time? I need to input data from the keyboard into a text box when the program starts however I do not see anything on the computer screen, only on the headset. Is there a way to turn on both the headset AND the computer simulator concurrently? Thank you for your help!

If you're using the DK2 it's currently more difficult to clone the Oculus view to another monitor. Take a look at the Oculus DK2 and Vizard (http://kb.worldviz.com/articles/2045) article for more information about this.
