Is there a limit to how many polygons can be loaded into PeopleMaker?

Attached is an image of a head that has hair polygons stripped away.
This same head will load into Vizard from an .obj file without
stripping the polygons away.

Thanks,

There proably is a limit, but I think is very large.

What message does PeopleMaker tell you when you try to load your hairy head?

Thanks,

I don't get a message from PeopleMaker, some of the polygons are just stripped away.

I just loaded in a sphere with 45,000 polygons (more that 3 times the object I'm having trouble with) and none of the polygons are missing. So it doesn't look like it is a total polygon issue. The strange thing is that if I reduce the polygons on the hair, it comes through fine and just bringing in the origional hair by itself works too.

?

I'm guessing that the problem is related to the alpha texture on the hair not being rendered right in peoplemaker. When you are in "wireframe" view do you see all the polygons?

A workaround would be to load the original hair by itself in Vizard and set its parent to be the avatar's head. Thus no need for hair in PeopleMaker. This will work if you don't need to create morphs for the hair in peoplemaker. Will that work for you?

I didn't know alpha channels would work in PeoplMaker.
We are still having trouble getting them to work in Vizard.

Anyway, I'm uploading with this post a picture, that shows the wire-frame in peopleMaker and compares how it looks in PeopleMaker to how it looks in LightWave's modeler.

Thanks,
