Hello,

I want to use my eMagin Z800 3DVisor Tracker Device with Vizard under Windows 7 64-bit.
But I can not install the USB-drivers.
When I install and run the Z800 3DVisor Software Utility it shows a message "Sensor Init Error".
When I install and run the Setup Wizard, it crashes with this error message (it is longer, don't know if you need it): "An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B)".

So i am not able to install the USB-driver for my Windows 7 64-bit system and because of this I am not able to use the tracker with Vizard, which fails to connect to the tracker with this error message: "ERROR: Could not connect to eMagin device. Error: 80000016", using this line:

hmd = viz.add('emagin.dls')

I also tried the installation tricks for Windows Vista (Device Manager, update driver), but this also does not work.

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Thanks,
kartoffelsalat

The best resource for troubleshooting the connection of your Emagin display with Windows is the Emagin support team. Once Windows recognizes the device properly if you have any issues interfacing with Vizard, let us know and we can help.

I've tried to get the Z800 working on a 64 bit OS but never succeeded. Emagin support is minimal to none existing. Only solution I found was switching back to a 32 bit version of windows 7. You also need to run Vizard with administration rights to let the plugin function correctly. I've also have a custom build z800 vizard plugin but I'm not sure anymore if this was because I needed some extra functionality or the vizard plugin didn't work correctly. The emagin SDK pdf should provide enough information if you need to write your own plugin.

I contacted eMagin support about a year ago, and they said their tracker driver does not support 64-bit versions of Windows.
