Hello,

I am having an issue with the Polhemus, and am not sure whether it is a Vizard or Polhemus issue (or whether you have heard of the problem). The problem is that the coordinate system of the patriot sensor sometimes is reversed on startup. This would not be an issue (I could just scale it), but it seems arbitrary in which system it chooses.

I tried to follow the notes in the Polhemus help (ie. below the sensor, 12-14 inches behind the sensor with the front of the marker aligned with the tail), but that didn't seem to help.

So, any suggestions other than putting in a toggle to reverse the scale?

Thanks,
Christian

The device can be reliable but you have to do a few things:

In PiMGR, set the hemisphere tracking on.
After power cycling the unit, the hemisphere gets locked the first time Vizard connects to the Polhemus device. When connecting for the first time since powe cycling, hold your sensor/s all in the +X Polhemus hemisphere (side opposite the cord).
From that point on (at least until you power cycle again), you should have no more switching.

I'll try it, thanks!
