Volume Rendering

Does Vizard support volume rendering? I would like to include objects like these http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volume_rendering in our environment.

No, Vizard does not support volume rendering. What are the objects you are wanting to see in Vizard and where is the data coming from?

medical imaging data

I am interested in visualizing MRI and CT data in virtual environments. The anatomical surfaces look very nice, but volumetric rendering is really the standard. Is there a plugin or 3rd party package that we can add that would support volume rendering? We are pre-processing these data offline, so I can do as much pre-computation as necessary.
