Exclamation Stereo synchronisation

Hello Wizards !!

I got a synchronisation problem there... when I launch my application Vizard render it in stereo [frame sequential stereo]. But my glasses do not seem to separate the two frames, I still view the ghost image.

- I got nVidia stereo driver
- Stereo enabled
- settings on 19" monitor, 800x600x32 @ 120Hz

In Vizard (rendering in fullscreen, of course):
viz.ipd(0.06)
viz.viewdist(5)

Am I missing something ?

viz.FOREVER,
D.

If the Vizard window is flickering between the left/right eyes, then the problem lies with the hardware. Are you sure the nVidia stereo drivers support your model of shutter glasses? For example, some shutter glasses require a blue-line being rendered at the bottom of the screen for distinguishing between left/right eyes, and the stereo drivers might not be supporting this. What kind of shutter glasses are you using?

I've never used those shutter glasses before, so I cannot tell you what is wrong. Do the shutter glasses come with any test programs to ensure they are functioning properly?

the nuvision glasses work with an IR emitter.

the emitter has a special plug (VGA break out cable) that needs to be connected to the VGA signal output that feeds the Infocus DetphQ projector.

the IT emitter needs to be placed on you projection screen or on the ceiling, so the nuvison shutterglasses 'see' the emitter when people are looking at the screen.

if it's setup like this and the Vizard image is flickering (i.e. showing left/right eye with active stereo) then the glasses will work and you will see 60Hz stereo (if the projector is run with 120Hz).

hope that helps!
