Quad Buffer

I don't know if this is a Vizard issue or not. Our video card (a wildcat VP990 Pro) died so we switched over to a machine with a Quadro 1300. The video card has the sync output but I can't seem to get the quad buffered stereo to work.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried calling viz.go(viz.QUAD_BUFFER).

yes I have, it worked fine on our previous machine. I am assuming it is some setting on the nvidia card.

When you first run scripts with viz.go(viz.QUAD_BUFFER) does it print "Visual Choser: cannot apply settings" or something like that.

The error I get is:

Producer::VisualChooser: the requested visual is not available, try relaxing attributes

It gives that error 3 times in a row.

Yeah, this sounds like a nVida driver/settings fix. Assuming you have installed the nVida Quadro drivers, check the nVida control pannel for a quad buffering setting.
