Shooting an avatar with a gun
Hey,
We are having trouble with simulating shooting an avatar. We want the user to feel as if he's holding a gun and enable him to aim it in all directions and shoot at an avatar. We already have the animation for the avatar falling down after being shot, so all we need is a simple way to make the user hold and aim the gun realistically. Thanks for your help! |

Do you want to use keyboard and mouse or are you using some kind of tracking on the user?

shooting a gun in VR
We need tracking.
Our subject would use HMD for visualization and be PPT tracked by it's 6DOT sensors. It would be best if the gun would be represented as a different sensor (clicker\glove\regular 3DOT sensor) so it can be controlled more realistically Thanks! |

Do you want the user to see an avatar's arm when they move their own arm or just the gun moving in space?

We want him to see a hand.
But, I guess it's a little complicated to track the hand and display it properly. So, it will be enough if he'll see a hand but the hand will be fixed. That is, it will not be tracked as a separate object, it will be attached to the gun and will move with the gun as it moves around. thanks again! |
