Textures not showing

I have loaded the room.wrl demo file and I get a message saying that the textures will not load/cannot be found/ osgdb_jpeg.dll. I get the same message when I create my own file. All the textures are in the same directory as the wrl file. Why can't I see the textures? Also, a 3ds file fails to load!
