Importing textures from 3DS Max
Hi, models I've imported to Vizard from 3DSMax don't seem to retain their textures. The FAQ in Vizard help says this about it:
"4.10 My objects have the appropriate textures in 3DMax, but when I bring them into Vizard those textures are gone. When you apply a texture material in 3DMax you should only use UVW modifiers to adjust the texture parameters. Adjusting them directly within the material editor does not carry through to Vizard." I'm new to both programs, and I'm not sure how I should go about applying my textures with UVW modifiers. Simply, adding UVW maps to my objects through the Modifier tab in Max doesn't seem to solve the problem. Could someone point me in the direction of a tutorial or help file where I could get more detailed information on how to properly texture and import models from 3DSMax? Thanks, Drew |

The following article explains the materials that will carry over into Vizard when using the OSG exporter for Max:
http://kb.worldviz.com/articles/1393 Are you using a material listed there? |
