wrong background color in interlaced stereo image
I am using interlaced stereo image. The image is a red icon on a black background. When I capture the image on screen capture and look at the pixels that are supposed to be background color they are some shade of red. Therefore when looking at the image using a parallax barrier display the images are blurry and not 3d.

What tool are you using to capture the image. Can you provide an example script with image that reproduces the issue?

attached are two jpg files. I am using the screen capture command in Vizard. cleanoil pressure low.tif(which I had to convert to JPG to upload here) is the image used as the texture on a textquad, and just pure oil.jpg is the result of a screen capture. If you zoom in in Photoshop you can see that there are some intermediate colors where background colors should be. This is making the 3D image blurry and not 3D when used on a parallax barrier display

Try using an image format for your screenshot that is not compressed or uses lossless compression.
