avatars slowing me down

Hey guys-
I have this problem that I don't remember having with the old avatars. I load up my scripts and as soon as an avatar appears in the HMD (or on the monitor), the output window says that the textures are being scaled and it causes a big delay in the frame rate. Is there away around this so that the delay doesn't happen when the program is running?
Thanks,
Cade

What is the filename of the texture that is being scaled?

This is the output:

Scaling image 'C:\DOCUME~1\199reg\LOCALS~1\Temp\fem64A.tmp.bmp' from (768,768) to (1024,1024)

Scaling image 'Female/heads/122_1.jpg' from (448,129) to (512,128)

I'm not sure what the first one is, but the second one is that teeth, eyes and tongue jpeg.
