WorldViz support of callada

WorldViz supports callada from ver 3. However, it is so difficult to obtain information about callada. I shall be most grateful if some one can help in the following areas:

1. recommend a collada viewer than can be used to view .dae files?
2. is there a 3D software to create .dae files natively (not as exports)
3. does collada support character animation?

I found a viewer for CALLADA, SwirX3D viewer that we can import .dae files. But this viewer has some problem that it cannot do animation. May be I am in the wrong. I wish some body with an avatar in .dae format can give it a try.

Have you tried the viewer from www.feelingsoftware.com? They also publish a free 3DS Max to Collada exporter. From what I understand, they are one of the leading developers in the Collada format.
