Animation Problem :(

I'm having a problem importing animations into vizard.

I created a 3d max 8 model and followed the directions on James Allen's web page http://cal3d.sourceforge.net/modeling/tutorial.html

NOW, in my folder which is located inside Vizard25\tutorials, I have the following files

Material = ptmale_material.CRF
Mesh = ptmale_mesh.CMF
Skeleton = ptmale_skeleton.CSF
Animations = ptmale_walk.CAF and ptmale_fly.CAF
CFG = ptmale.cfg (which was copied from Jason Allen)

I've open a new scene in Vizard
I imported my character with my ptmale.cfg file
Everything imported fine BUT my animations.

Did I do something wrong in the code or can it be my exporter????
I've attached my .cfg file to this thread, see if there's any errors.

I'm using Max 8 with the vizard253_max8_cal3d plugin.

I solved my problem.

This may sound stupid on my part, but I didnt follow James Allen's tutorial exactly, I used a skin modifier, instead of Physique. I guess the exporter can't read it. Sorry for the post. I hope this will help out any noobs in the future.

The Vizard Help has a Cal3D section that explains how to export characters to Cal3D from Max.

That's surprising that Skin wouldn't work back in 2006 when this was initially posted - we use it internally with Cal3D exports all the time, and I strongly prefer it over Physique. As Jeff said, our Cal3D section of the documentation is fairly comprehensive, so that's the best place to go for up to date information on the export process and its recommended conventions.
