Exporting from Maya in Vizard
I'm trying to export a 3D model of a room from Maya into Vizard and have tried a number of different file formats and none of them seem to work. I even tried downloading the Cal3D Exporter for Maya 7, 8, 8.5 off worldviz.com and that didn't work at all. Maya can't even recognize it/won't load it.
When I run Vizard everything appears extremely dark except for the wall sockets and the floor sort of shimmers. But the walls and everything else won't appear. Neither will the lighting. Can anyone help? Is there something I have to do in Maya? Is there something I have to do in Vizard? I'm very lost. |

Do you have Vizard R3. If so, then you should try exporting as Collada format (DAE format)? There's a free Collada Maya exporter from the Collada consortion here:
http://www.feelingsoftware.com/conte...55/72/lang,en/ You can obtain sample DAE models here. http://www.collada.org/owl/ Let me know how this works. |

I don't have V3, but I did manage to get it to work.
Thanks for the help |
