Avatar Material Problem
Hi all,
I'm trying to export an avatar from 3Ds Max to Vizard like I've done many times before, but I'm suddenly having issues with the material. First of all the texture doesn't automatically load, but more annoyingly I get the message: Code:
Warning: Material::setShininess() of 6400 is above permitted maximum, clampping to 128. I'm using the latest Cal3D exporter from the Worldviz download page in 3DsMax 2014 64bit. |

*Facepalm* Never mind. I forgot I renamed my materials and removed the [0] suffix... Cal3D is pretty specific about that.
The older models I checked were Vizard complete characters which also don't have that set by default (even the 'export ready' ones, which is a bit misleading) It does make me wonder though: is there a way to affect shininess straight out of the box? Because spec levels and maps don't really seem to make any difference unless I specifically write a shader for them. |
