OSG Exporter 9.6
I am using 3DS Max 2010 with the recent OSG Exporter update.
Sadly, whenever I try to export an object to .IVE or .OSG, 3DS crashes completely. It does not give a reason. What should I do? Thank you in advance. |

Does this happen with all models? Can you post a simple model that causes a crash and a screenshot of the OSG exporter options dialog?

Yes, even if it's as simple as an unaltered box.
Here is the screen of the exporter options: A model is attached. |

I tried the model you provided with the exact same export options and it exported fine. What version of Windows are you running? Are you using the official 3dsmax 2010 release or a beta version?

I am running on Windows XP, and I have an official version of 2010 with the recent hotfix.

Problems installing
Is it possible to get the .dle, .dlo ,.dll or .mze - well whatever there is - files both for the Cal3D and the OSG-exporter without the installer stuff?
I know where to place them and what to do . My problem is I'm running 3dsmax 9 on a German computer hence the path of the program is - C:\Programme\Autodesk\3ds Max 9\- so the installer won't work as it doesn't find an installed 3dsmax version.... Thanks |

I've been having the same problem that Kettle has for Max 2010. I'm running Windows Vista and it doesn't matter the complexity of the model, Max will not export.

Max export issue
Let's try another approach, it's very possible that I didn't update to the new version properly. I've uninstalled the plugin but still I'm not having any luck when re-installing. Are there residual files that might be left behind that could sabotage a new install?
Many thanks in advance, Kevin |

Are you getting a crash or just the error dialog you posted? The only thing you need to do is make sure 3dsmax is shutdown before running the installer.

Thanks for your reply farshizzo. I did have Max shut down before running the installer. I get that error the first two times I try to save an OSG file and then Max crashes.
The reason I asked if there is something I'm missing is because the error persists even after uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin. I know some kind of file is saved in the system because all export settings from the previous install return when I reinstall the plugin. This is even after the old OSGExp folder is deleted. I deselected everything but geometry and it still won't export. I've tried it with the default settings and that doesn't work either. |

Problem solved
Uninstalling Delta 3D v2.3 stops the errors. I think it's the Max exporter files within Delta that cause the conflict. Since uninstalling, no problems |
