LOd

add the LOD helper, set it to the origion of model, call your LOD meshes LOD01, LOD02 etc. put them into the slots. The max min numbers indicate when the LODs will switch. so first would be say 0 - 500, second 500 - 1000 etc. The number is distance to viewer. empty slots will show up nothing, so you can make the mesh completely disappear

Select all the models and the LOD helper. export osgb, in export options select Export Helpers.

IDK how to change the LOD swap distance in Vizard (i woould love to know)

The LOD ranges can be edited in Inspector with Vizard 5. Currently, there is no built-in interface for editing them within a script.

Thanks, I'm using a CAVE at Christie Digital in Canada, they have vizard 4. Can I use 5 to edit the LOD then run in the setup they already have?

Yes, you can save out the model after editing the LOD ranges in Vizard 5 Inspector. Then load the model in Vizard 4.

Actually a model modified/saved in Vizard 5 Inspector can not be loaded into Vizard 4. You will have to load it into Vizard 5.

Best,
Masaki

Yes, Vizard 5 will install side by side with Vizard 4 and not break anything.
