Import viewpoint from 3rd party software

Is there an option to import the viewpoint that's used in a 3d design sofware, especially Sketchup, in Vizard?
I wonder how I can setup the corresponding viewpoint for an experiment using a vizcave powerwall.

It looks like there is a transform node called 'skp_camera_Last_Saved_SketchUp_View' that shows up in the collada model exported from Sketchup. However, you could also navigate in Inspector and then right click and copy the camera's position and euler values. If you are using vizcave powerwall code directly without vizconnect then set the CaveView position to place the user at a specific location in the scene. See the section on viewpoint movement in the vizcave documentation for more information.

You are right, there is a node called 'skp_camera_Last_Saved_SketchUp_View'. But I don't know how to extract the camera's position and euler values from this node. Can you tell me how to do this?

I would suggest setting up the viewpoint in Inspector. It looks like the saved view from SketchUp may not be scaled and rotated correctly according to Vizard's coordinate system.

It would be great if I could try to apply the view from SketchUp to the model in Vizard as I need the same viewpoint from which the model was exported. Also, it looks like the saved view is displayed in the right way in Inspector in my case. Can you provide the Vizard code for getting the camera's position and euler values from this node?

First get a handle to the transform node and then you can get its position and orientation:

Code:
model = viz.addChild('model.dae')
viewNode = model.getTransform('skp_camera_Last_Saved_SketchUp_View')
pos = viewNode.getPosition(viz.ABS_GLOBAL)
ori = viewNode.getEuler(viz.ABS_GLOBAL)
