graphics capabilities

Hi,
I have a couple questions:
1. What is the best way to export animations created via 3d Studio Max to Vizard
2. Does Vizard support real time shadows?
3. Is there collision detection done on concave objects? I.e can I model a tube and go through it?

1) What kind of animations are you referring to? If you are using keyframe animations then you can use the OSG exporter to export to the .osg/.ive format. If you are talking about character animations then you can use the Cal3D exporter.

2) You can implement real-time shadow in Vizard used projected textures. This method does not support self shadowing. The next release will be able to support depth mapped shadows.

3) Collision detected is supported with any mesh. However, dynamics can only be simulated on certain primitive shapes (box,sphere,capsule,etc..)

I see, so if I model my whole world as a single object I guess a column won't be able to cast a shadow on say the floor? Correct? Secondly how do I enable this feature I haven't found any documentation on this

Correct. I've attached a zip file that contains a Shadow module and an example of how to use it. Let me know if any thing is not clear.
