Vizard 5 Demo Launcher Problems

Hi,

we had a look onto the new Demo Launcher and we cannot download any Demo. After editing the HW Options there is an endless "Loading Demo Collection" onscreen. I think the problem lies in our restricted Network/Gateway to the Internet.
We also didnt find a option to configure a proxy-server.

Is there a way to download all Demo´s and integrate it into the Demo Launcher (and disable the online check/connection)?

As a sidenote: @ Demo Launcher the Vizconnect Screen works in IE8 (directly at Vizard 5 Beta 3 it states as unsupported and doesnt start vizconnect).
If starting Demo Launcher there is only a grey Hall with a Hand (controllable with Mouse) and VizConnect Interface. If starting base_vizconnect_config.py directly it loads correctly gallery.osgb but without Vizconnect Interface.

We're working to improve the network connectivity of our demo launcher, but for now you can download the demos directly using these links:

Just extract the zip files next to the demo_launcher32.exe file.

If you're demo launcher file is in:
D:\repos\coffin\build_test\
i.e. you have a file:
D:\repos\coffin\build_test\demo_launcher32.exe

After extracting the art gallery project you should have (among other files):
D:\repos\coffin\build_test\art_gallery\art_gallery .py


The demo launcher is using a new version of vizconnect which solves a number of network related issues. From what you are saying it sounds like you can view the vizconnect interface when running the demo launcher, but not when running the vizconnect file itself. This is a known issue for some network configurations, and will be solved in the next/final release of Vizard 5. For now you will need to configure the scripts created by the demo launcher with the demo launcher executable.
