object detection

Hello,

I'm looking for a simple command which replies 1 if you have a particular object in your view (not collision detection).
I would appreciate your help.

Hi,

Do you simply need to know if the object is in the view frustum or if it is also being occluded by another object?

Yes, I do need both.
By the way, can you use vizact.py in Vizard 2.5 with Vizard 2.17?

Hi,

Neither of those functions currently exist. We can implement it into the next version of Vizard though.

Regarding vizact.py, you can only use it with Vizard 2.5
