How to cut out the heads of the complete characters?
For our study we need to take out the heads of the complete characters and install customized 2d heads onto them. But there's no head mesh in the complete characters for us to grab onto. I wonder if there's a way to alter the mesh and the skeleton in the .csf and the .cmf files. But I can't open them with either Photoshop or 3d Max. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I am not quite sure what you mean by a 2D head. If this is just a picture of a face you could create a texture quad and apply the face image to it. Then you could link the texture quad to the neck bone.

In order to make the original head disappear you can comment out the line in the cfg file that defines the mesh for the head.
