Problem running Vizard

I have installed Vizard on a computer which is unable to run it.
Whenever I run a script I get the error:

Producer::VisualChooser: unable to setup a valid visual with WGL extensions, switching to compatibility mode

This happens after opening the window but before anything appears.

How can I fix this?

Can you provide some hardware specs of the computer? It seems like it might not have proper OpenGL support.

It's just a standard Dell Optiplex g270 with a Radeon 9500 card.
BTW, there is sometimes another error having to do with "glyph"
and "font". I can't give you the whole thing now because I don't have
access to the computer today.

So if the OpenGL support is corrupted, do you know how I can restore it?

I found a reference to that error. It appears to come from the VisualChooser module of OpenSceneGraph. You can see the error message in the source code here:

http://www.openscenegraph.org/projec...ualChooser.cpp

It also appears in this document:

http://archive.netbsd.se/?ml=opensce...6-07&t=2179192

which implies that the graphics card is too old, but I would think a Radeon 9500 would be relatively recent and support the "WGL Extensions" mentioned.

Any ideas?

Never mind. I changed to an nVidia video card and the problem
went away.
