Unhappy Problems exporting with Cal3D

Hi,

I'm having problems exporting the mesh files using the Cal3D exporter from your website and 3ds max 2010 (32 bit). I am trying to export slightly modified versions of the complete characters set that we have.

Here's what I'm doing, please let me know if you know where the problem is:

1) I select the skeleton, then click "export" from the menu and select the Cal3D skeleton file, *.CSF. Skeleton exports fine.

2) I select the mesh, then click "export" from the menu and select the Cal3D mesh file, *.CMF. Then I pick the previously exported skeleton file when it asks for one during "Step 1", then click "Next". During step 2 I leave everything on default and click "Next", but it says "No meshes were selected for export" and gives an error (code 118).

When that didn't work, I tried selecting the entire mesh + skeleton and repeating Step 2). That exported a 1 KB CMF file which did not actually contain the mesh.

Any idea what the problem could be?

Thanks!

I figured out the problem.

Apparently when I switched the models over to the 2010 version, the Skin envelop modifier was removed. I just added it and things are exporting fine now.
