Record movements of an avatar?

Hi all

I'd like to record the movements of my probands and save them to disk, so I can replay them later by assigning them to a non person character avatar.

How can this be achieved?

Thanks for help
Joshua

What kind of movements are being captured and what kind of avatar are you using?

The head, arms, and legs movements. We have MotionBuilder running on a computer that is connected to the whole WorldViz stuff - can I record the movements there?

I don't really know what avatars we're using... the basic ones that come with WorldViz, I guess.

You can make a recording in Motionbuilder and when you are ready to see the avatar moving in Vizard, load the Live Characters plug-in and play it back.

OK, but can I have both? The person walking through my VR and record her movements in parallel with motion builder?

The case is the following:

Every person who enters my VR has to see the movements of the previous person attached to an avatar.

Is that possible?

Anybody got an idea? Can I run MotionBuilder and a WorldViz VR in parallel? I guess I have to try myself tomorrow at the lab... ;-)
