Native DTrack support?

What exactly is meant by native DTrack support, and how do I access it? Currently we go through the VRPN tracker interface, but we're also planning on getting the fingertracking rig from ART. We'd like to know if there is any additional support in the 'native' DTrack interface for it, and if so, how do we get the finger position/orientation data?

Worst-case, I could implement my own tracker that supports the fingertracking rig, either as a Python module or a plug-in - not that hard to do, but no point if it's already been done.
