Is there a possibility to combine vizard with auralisation software?
I would like to generate a virtual environment that includes rendered acoustics (real-time auralisation). Software that offers real-time auralisation like CATT (www.catt.se) or EASE (www.auralisation.de) are rather limited in generating optical output. Therefore I was thinking about combining two software packages, one for the optical output, one for the acoustics. I thought about Vizard for generating the optics, as it seems to be a very flexible program.
Does anyone have experiences with combining two rendering programs for two diferent modalitites (probably running on two computers)? I would be very glad about any suggestions, hints, programs I should use instead, ... Thanks Jochen |

We have added support for AuSim 3D audio simulation to Vizard, so this is definitely possible. If the other software provides an API for controlling the audio simulation, then it's simply a matter of creating a Python plugin to interface to it.
