"Laser Pointer"
I need to mimic a laser pointer attached to the head that will move with the viewpoint. So let's say a person were tracing through a maze with their head and had to reach certain landmarks; I need to be able to mimic a laser pointer (i.e. like a red dot) that would follow/be linked to the head movement.
Unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea whatsoever how to do this/go about this. Can anyone help?? I'm using a flock of birds tracking system (I don't know if that's important or not) but I think that if I know how to do the laser pointer aspect I can latch it on to the movement data generated from the Birds. Any ideas??? |

If you want something similar to a crosshair in the center of the screen, then you can just add a quad with a red dot texture to the screen.
Code:
import viz viz.go() tex = viz.add('dot.png') quad = viz.add(viz.TEXQUAD,viz.SCREEN) quad.texture(tex) quad.translate(0.5,0.5,0) |
