Try temporarily renaming the registry key from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Autodesk/3dsMax/10.0/MAX-1_407 to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Autodesk/3dsMax/10.0/MAX-1:409 and then running the installer. Hopefully this will work.

How to install vizard253_max8_cal3.zip files?
Dear Sir,

The read me file asks us to copy the cal3d.dll, cal3d_max_importer.idi and cal3d_max_exporter.ide to the plug in directory:

c:\program files\autodesk\3dsmax 2009\plugin.

I follow this. Is this the so-called installation? Any way, it does not work.
Do I need to manually modiy the registry?
