Persistent tearing issue
Hello,
we have a new laptop in our lab (6th Intel Gen, Nvidia Geforce 980M) and are experiencing some tearing issues in our simulations. To be more specific, it is just one line near the top of the screen that heavily tears while rotating and also while moving back and forth. This does also occur when playing some simulations written by Vizard (e.g. pigeon hunt). The fps sit steady at 60 (vsync is enabled). I have tried adjusting settings for the graphics card but nothing has worked so far. Is there anybody with a similar setup that could report on the issue? |

Perhaps updating or rolling back the nvidia drivers could help.

We tried several drive version - no influence on the tearing.
One thing we could find out: when connecting a second monitor to the laptop, the tearing almost disappears. We would still like to use only the laptop's screen, so this "solution" does not work for us. |
