HMD advice
Hi,
I have developed quite a few applications for a immersive video wall using Vizard, and having experienced your demonstration of "The Pit" using HMD, I am looking to move on to HMDs for my desired application. Can you please advice on the HMD to acquire, which will provide me best compatibility and most stable working using Vizard. I would prefer wireless HMD. I am currently using Vizard 5.0 Note : In the long run I also intended to use gestures for user interaction with the virtual world after wearing HMD. If it affect the choices for HMD consideration. |

The Native Device Support page in the Vizard Help lists the HMD's supported by Vizard.

Is Vizard Compatible with this entire set https://shop.oculus.com/en-us/cart/
Including headset, sensor, remote, cables, Xbox One controller? Or I need to stick with DK2 for stable working? |

Oculus CV1 isn't even out yet, so it's difficult to recommend. I also wouldn't expect Worldviz to add full support for it in Vizard until Oculus releases the 1.0 version of the SDK.
Right now the best advice is probably to wait. All currently available commercial solutions are either very expensive or provide a much more limited experience (or both), compared to the Oculus CV1 and HTC Vive. Don't we all! |

I personally think the HTC Vive will be a better all round kit as it comes with hand held motion tracked controllers. Its a pity Oculus Rift will not provide such a solution at launch.

What's interesting to me is that the Vive is very much promoted as a standing experience, with a reasonable tracking volume and a front facing camera and the chaperon system to allow you to move around safely. Meanwhile, the Oculus is mostly shown as a seated experience. If it's true that these systems try to focus more on one thing than the other, your choice should be largely informed by the kind of applications you want to create. |

Just bumping the thread to know if anyone did use Oculus Rift or HTC Vive with Vizard?
Or are they even supported? @Erikvdb I agree that the grid wall in HTC Vive is actually a pretty neat and very useful feature for an actual application. |

Yes, both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive are supported in Vizard 5.4.
