best practice for "portable" scripts/VRs

hey all

what are the best practices for writing scripts that should run in different settings, e.g. fullscreen on a single monitor with mouse/keyboard input or a 3d cave with head/wand trackers.

You can write one script and create two vizconnect configuration files, one for each system.
