Need benchmark app, to pick best hardware for vizard?

I'm looking for a benchmark application, to help pick the hardware for Vizard.

Does Vizard always use OpenGL, or can it use DirectX?

Vizard is built upon OpenSceneGraph and therefore is OpenGL based. It cannot run as a DirectX graphics application.
