Correct, you could temporarily turn off stereo.You would use the following to disable stereo:
Code:
viz.stereo(viz.STEREO_LEFT)
And the following will enable stereo:
Code:
viz.stereo(viz.STEREO) #Or whatever stereo mode you initially used
