No, the color of the shirt cannot be changed in a very straightforward manner. The two things you can do are change the color of the underlying geometry which will blend somewhat into the texture. Or, you can apply a new texture to to the avatar but unless you have purchased the avatar Max models, this would mostly be an exercise in frustration because aligning the texture coordinates would be hard.
Bottom line, the avatars included with Vizard are meant to be used as is. They are based on the Cal3D standard so you can create your own or purchase a PeoplePak from WorldViz and obtain full access to the avatar's mesh and textures.
