How to edit .IVE files

I have 3ds Max and I'am looking for a way to edit one my .IVE files. somenone who has ever done it can give me a method

There is no way to import an IVE file into 3dsmax, you can only export to IVE from Max.

it means that , there is not a way to edit IVE files ?

There are 3rd party programs, like OSGEdit, that allow you to edit .osg/.ive files. But they are not complete modeling packages. If you want to edit the file with 3dsmax, then you will need the original max file.
