Killing a script before it launches in a cluster

Hello,

For some of our projects at our school, we use a client/server setup to run vizard apps. We routinely have large models that typically take time to load up.

Many times, it so happens that we want to kill the app before it even launches (e.g., Network connection is lost to one of the nodes, realized we didn't switch to fullscreen mode, etc). Currently, we wait until the app launches completely before pressing the 'Esc' key to kill it. It is quite inconvenient to do so.

It would be nice to have a way to kill/stop the app and not have to wait until it launched. Is there a way to do it?

Thanks,
Vijay.

Try creating a batch file on your desktop with the following contents:
Code:

TASKKILL /F /T /IM winviz.exe
Whenever you want to kill the Vizard script process, just double click the batch file and the script should immediately exit.

Thanks farshizzo. That worked.
