Strange texture display

Hello,

I'm a french student in internship who is trying to proove that Vizard is a great solution for Virtual Reality projects.

Actually i'm having a strange problem :

My scene is composed of 4 spheres displaying 4 environment textures.
Yesterday my scene was working correctly, i updated my video drivers (ATI) and then my textures were having some disfunctionment on exactly the same file, i can not understand.

Here is how it should appear (3DS MAX):

And here how it appears in Vizard :

If someone would be able to know where is the problem, he would be awesome ! :=)

By the way, i uninstalled and reinstalled Vizard, but also my ATI drivers (and now i'm on the 10.5 version).

Thanks ! ;)

Sounds like there could be a bug with ATI's most recent OpenGL drivers. If you roll back to the previous version does it still work fine?

Thanks for your answer !

But here is the problem... I don't know which version i had. Does anyone have any version with everything working (as i can download it) ?

So, i tried to roll back to an older ATI driver version (9.10) and i tried to uninstall completely the drivers also, but i still have same problem.

And i also have this problem on the provided examples :

I don't understand what's happening...

I guess nobody can help me ?
I think i will try other software instead of this one...

This seems to be an issue with the latest ATI drivers. We've heard from various people and websites that versions 10.5 & 10.6 of the Catalyst drivers have broken OpenGL 2.0 support. It seems that version 10.4 is that last working version of the drivers.

You can read on this site about the issues. I would suggest rolling back to version 10.4 if possible, or wait until ATI fixes this issue, .. or get an nVidia card ;)

Hello !

Thank you for this ultimate answer. The 10.4 version of the ATI drivers was the only one i didn't try... I tried older versions but it didn't work.

Today i tried the 10.4 and everything came back to normal. Thank you very much and i'll be very carefull when i update drivers now.

But do you plan to adapt Worldviz to the new drivers ?

Thanks again ;)
