Navigation Speed/Too Slow

Hi,

I've created a scale representation of a configuration of hallways for an experiment. The hallways are interconnected, the longest of them being more than 80 feet long (in the RW). I've imported this environment into Vizard and it looks great and navigation is smooth but it takes FOREVER to move anywhere.

I don't think I can scale down the entire model because I don't want it to feel like I'm in the land of the Smurfs. As it is now, it looks really good and the scale feels correct.

How can I speed up navigation of this environment?

Thanks!

Try the viz.sensitivity command. It let's you change the gain for both navigation translation and rotations. To just go faster forward but keep the same turn feel, try something like:

Code:

viz.sensitivity(3.0, 1.0)
This will triple your translation speed but keep your rotations untouched.

Hope that helps.

That solved it. Thanks.
