Infinite friction?

Hello.

I am trying to get a feel for the physics system in Vizard 3.0 by creating a scene with a car driving around tut_ground.wrl.

My issue at the time is with applying torque to the car when it should turn. Apparently, there is infinite friction between the car and the ground as no turning takes place even if I apply one billion Newtons of force.

If the car is in the air, the torque works perfectly fine. Once it touches the ground however, it is glued there.

I've lowered the friction of both the ground and the car, yet nothing helps. I feel like I'm missing some vital yet simple piece of information.

How can I rotate a collision box resting on the ground by applying torque to it?

The physics system is wacky. Sometimes you have to try a totaly different method to acheave the effect your looking for.

How about applying a force offset from the center of the box to the left or right of the car. This should generate the torque you are looking for.
