Does anyone know how to find what children, etc. this file contains. I wanted to switch this with the standard mirror test to see if it was just the environment but can't find anything to put the mirror on.

You can use Inspector to browse the scene graph of a model. That's documented in the Vizard IDE section of the Vizard docs. We also have a short video tutorial here.
