eMAGIN and NVIDIA FX2700m
 

I am having difficulties setting up the stereovision on my eMAGIN HMD. I have a NVIDIA FX2700m graphics card. I have tried enabling the stereovision on the NVIDIA control panel. On the eMAGIN system, the light is still amber color indicating 2D vision. Any idea of what I am missing in my settings?

Make sure the resolution is set to 800 x 600 and the refresh rate is 60 hz.

If you are not viewing in stereo and the control unit's LED is not a steady green this means the HMD is not in 3D mode. For newer nVidia Quadro cards it is necessary to use Emagin's Lab Tool to force 3D stereo.

In the Lab Tool GUI select miscellaneous and there will be an option for Force 3D mode. Click on the button until it says Force 3D and again click on the button to activate 3D mode. The button label will change to Force 2D but it is correct to leave it like this. This must be performed every time you power cycle either the Emagin or the machine as this setting is not stored.
